Weekly toolbox talk video with an AI avatar: 52 clips a year, cost
A weekly 30-second avatar safety reminder costs a fixed sum per year at each tier. Script rules, review steps, and what it must not replace.
A weekly toolbox-talk or shift-start reminder is a repeatable 30-second script, which suits an avatar. Fifty-two clips a year at the plus tier is 382.20 dollars at the rate card, with 287.04 at standard and 858.00 at max, before the one-time 0.95 dollars to create the presenter. The clip is a reminder to attend to a topic; it does not replace the supervisor who leads the talk or any training your jurisdiction requires.
Annual cost
| Tier | Per clip | 52 clips | With avatar creation |
|---|---|---|---|
| standard | $5.52 | $287.04 | $287.99 |
| plus (default) | $7.35 | $382.20 | $383.15 |
| max | $16.50 | $858.00 | $858.95 |
Script rules for safety content
- The topic comes from your safety lead, not from the script writer. Do not ask a model to invent hazards or regulations.
- One hazard, one action. For example, 'check the ladder feet before climbing', not three tips.
- No numbers that come from a regulation unless the safety lead has checked them against the current text.
- End with the name of the supervisor who will talk about it on site.
Format for the site
A break-room TV wants a landscape ratio, so set aspect_ratio to 16:9 explicitly. The default is 9:16, which suits a phone. Resolution is 720p at this time, which is fine for a screen across a small room. Keep the same avatar handle all year so the crew recognises the format, and change the scene prompt only for seasonal context such as winter conditions.
Controls that make this auditable
Keep a record per week: script text, approver, job id, avatar-video id, and the date it was shown. Compare the finished transcript with the approved script before you publish. If a clip is wrong, a re-render is a new job at the same per-second price, and the earlier one stays in your records.
Use the first-frame preview once per season to approve the background, and skip it in routine weeks when only the script changes and the scene does not. A preview changes nothing about the final render price, but it adds a step that you do not need every week.
Limits
The clip is script-driven and cannot answer a worker's question. It speaks English only. If your crew works in other languages, treat a subtitle overlay as support, not as a safety translation.
Batching the year
Rendering all 52 in January is possible, but a year of scripts means a year of guesses about the weather and the work. Batch one quarter at a time instead, and keep three spare clips for generic reminders. Use a unique Idempotency-Key per week, such as toolbox-2026-w44, so a re-submitted request returns the same job and not a second charge.
