Wedding highlight video: keep the vows audio, cut the rest

Cut a 2-minute wedding highlight from guest clips: take vows audio with audio-detach, place clips over it in Timeline 1.0, and add a quiet music bed.

To keep the vows and lose the rest of a wedding video, detach the audio with POST /v1/audio-detach ($0.01), use it as the Timeline 1.0 audio spine, and cover it with guest clips. The two-minute render is $0.20. The vows stay in sync with the voice, and the pictures change over it.

How

Detach the audio from the ceremony clip as wav. Pass range to audio-detach (up to 900 seconds) if you only want certain minutes, or set audio.source_in in the Timeline body. Trim guest clips at $0.02 each and lay them in video[]. Add a soundtrack with duck_db so music dips under the voice; ducking needs a real spine, which the vows give you.

Fields from docs.sume.com/models/timeline, read 2026-10-01.

Limits

Audio quality is whatever the phone recorded; neither endpoint cleans it up. Coverage may trail the spine by at most 0.5 seconds, so plan cover shots to span the full vows. Share only with the couple's agreement.
