Webinar highlight reel: trim five moments, stitch, add cue captions
Cut a 60-second webinar highlight reel from a recording: five trims at $0.02, one Timeline render at $0.10, and caption cues at $0.20, about $0.40 in total.

To turn a webinar into a 60-second highlight reel, find five moments, trim each with POST /v1/video-trim ($0.02), join them with Timeline 1.0 ($0.10), then burn captions ($0.20). The total is $0.40. A video-inspect transcript at $0.01 per audio minute helps locate the moments.
Cost
| Step | Rate | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Transcript, 30 min | $0.01 per minute | $0.30 |
| 5 trims | $0.02 each | $0.10 |
| Render | $0.10 per minute | $0.10 |
| Captions | $0.20 | $0.20 |
| Total | $0.70 |
Workflow
Upload the recording (POST /v1/assets/upload-url, PUT, then POST /v1/assets/{id}/complete), run video inspect for a transcript, and pick quotes with a clear point and a clean start. Trim each with start and duration; the source can be up to 1,800 seconds and each output up to 900 seconds. Join them in one render. Captions on a talking-head clip come from the speech itself, so there is no need for cues.
Limits
Five clips of 12 seconds need transitions that do not hide a jump cut; a 0.5-second fade helps. A webinar over 30 minutes must be split first. Sume does not choose the moments, so a person or an LLM prompt on the transcript has to. Ask attendees for consent if they appear on screen.
