Webinar reminders: three 20-second avatar clips per event
Three 20-second 16:9 avatar reminders per webinar cost $11.04 on Sume's standard tier, $14.70 on plus. Twelve webinars a year is $132.48 on standard.
A webinar reminder sequence of three 20-second avatar clips, one at seven days, one at one day and one at one hour before the event, is 60 seconds of video and costs $11.04 on Sume's standard tier or $14.70 on plus at list rates with no product image. Twelve webinars a year is $132.48 on standard and $176.40 on plus.
Prices are from Sume API pricing. The 16:9 aspect ratio and inline captions are from Generate avatar video, and the queue limits from Generation admission, read 2026-10-03.
What does the sequence cost?
Each reminder is its own job in the 4 to 60 second window. Landscape 16:9 suits email landing pages and embedded players, and it is one of five supported ratios. The three clips can share one avatar handle, so the host is the same person at every step.
| Tier | Per webinar (60 s) | 12 webinars (720 s) |
|---|---|---|
| standard | $11.04 | $132.48 |
| plus | $14.70 | $176.40 |
| max | $33.00 | $396.00 |
What goes in each clip?
The seven-day clip carries the reason to attend and one concrete takeaway. The one-day clip repeats the time and the join link in words. The one-hour clip is short and plain: the topic, the time, and that the room is open. Keep the date and time in the script as spoken words, and put the link in your email, not in the video.
Inline captions burn the spoken text into the final MP4, which suits viewers who open the email at work with the sound off. If caption styling fails, the job can still succeed with a clean video and captions.status of failed, so check that field before you send.
- Write all three scripts when you open registration, and render them together.
- Render the one-hour clip early too; it only needs the start time, which rarely changes.
- If the start time moves, re-render only the clips that name it.
Idempotency and the queue
Three jobs fit on any plan, since accepted capacity is 6 on Free and larger above. The risk is a rerun, not a queue. Derive each key from webinar id and slot, such as webinar-4412-t-minus-1d-v1, so a retry returns the original job. If you rewrite a script on purpose, bump the version suffix, because the same key with a different body is a 409 idempotency_conflict and nothing runs.
Treat the clip as a draft until you have watched it. Avatar speech follows your script exactly, so a typo in a time is spoken as written, and a wrong time sent to registrants is harder to fix than a re-render.
For a series with a recurring format, reuse the structure and swap only the facts: speaker, topic, time. A fixed opener and closer keeps the clips consistent, and a script template with those three variables means writing a new sequence takes minutes. If you only send a one-day and a one-hour reminder, the cost per webinar drops to two clips, or $7.36 on standard.
