Tumblr's help page sets four ceilings on uploaded video: up to 20 videos per day, up to 10 minutes for a single video, 500 MB per video, and 60 total minutes per day. Plan the batch against the tightest of the four. Six 10-minute videos already use the whole 60 minutes.

What are the exact Tumblr limits?

Limits from Tumblr Help, read 2026-10-01.

Length of a single video10 minutes

How do I keep a long cut under 10 minutes?

Cut it with Video trim. The duration field accepts 0.2 to 900 seconds, and 900 seconds is 15 minutes, above Tumblr's 10-minute cap. So set duration to 600 or less, or give an end that is 600 seconds after start. Exactly one of end and duration is allowed. Details in Video trim; the same idea for another platform is in the TikTok 10-minute trim.

Do generated clips come near the limits?

No. A generated clip from Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 is 3 to 10 seconds, so even 20 of them total a few minutes. The daily limit that matters for generated work is the count of 20, not the 60 minutes.

How many items should one batch hold?

A Format bulk run takes a required array of 1 to 100 entries, in order. That is larger than Tumblr's daily 20, so slice the result list before posting. Each finished run has a durable URL and metadata, so you can post the first 20 today and keep the rest for tomorrow without regenerating.
