One 5-second clip per stop on a trip: six on Sume's wan-3.0 is $1.92 at 480p, $3.78 at 720p and $7.50 at 1080p. Stitch them on a timeline.

Six 5-second wan-3.0 clips, one per stop on an itinerary, cost $1.92 at 480p, $3.78 at 720p and $7.50 at 1080p on Sume. The per-clip prices are $0.32, $0.63 and $1.25, each rounded up to the cent before you add them.

That makes a 30-second reel from six separate jobs, so a bad take on one stop costs you one clip, not the whole reel.

Why six short clips and not one long one

Wan 3.0 accepts 2 to 30 seconds, so a single 30-second job is possible (video generation docs). A reel with six destinations is better built from six jobs, because each stop gets its own prompt and, ideally, its own photo as a first frame. A single prompt that lists six places mixes them.

Price table

Rates are the provider list of $0.05, $0.10 and $0.20 per second times 1.25 (video router docs). Because each clip rounds up on its own, six clips can cost a cent or two more than the single 30-second price would suggest.

Workflow

Submit all six jobs with the same settings, differing only in prompt and first-frame photo. Poll each, collect the files, and put them on a timeline in the order of the trip. Add place names as captions, which are far more reliable than text generated in the video.

  • Photo of the landmark as the first frame: keeps the place real.
  • Prompt: only the motion, such as a slow pan or birds crossing.
  • Set generate_audio to false and add one music track under the whole reel.

A note on honesty

A generated clip based on a photo is an illustration of a place. If the reel is for a tour you sell, make sure what is shown matches what the traveler will see.

Practical notes

Run the six drafts at 480p, pick the weakest two, and re-run only those with improved prompts. That keeps the whole reel under about $2.60 even with redos.

Keep the order of your clips in a file next to the job ids, so the timeline can be assembled automatically by a script or by hand.
