Travel blogger's Cyber Monday gear short with spoken disclosure: $0.42
A 45-second gear-pick short from four trips clips, with the affiliate disclosure spoken and captioned first, costs $0.42 on Sume; five shorts cost $2.10.

A travel blogger can make a 45-second Cyber Monday gear-pick short from four archive clips for $0.42 on Sume: four trims ($0.08), a 700-character voiceover ($0.04), one render ($0.10) and one caption job ($0.20). Five shorts, one per product, are $2.10 (read 2026-10-03).
Cyber Monday is November 30, 2026, three days after Black Friday. Gear roundups get posted early because readers search before they buy, so start cutting clips in mid-November. The disclosure goes first, in the script and out loud, so it is both heard and burned in as a caption.
A script that discloses first
Open the voiceover with a plain sentence such as "This post has affiliate links, and I earn a small commission if you buy." Then give the one reason you carry the item. Rules on endorsements and the wording platforms expect differ by country and change, so check your affiliate program's terms and your regulator's guidance, and do not rely on a tiny line in the description.
Only claim what you have used. A caption such as "survived 40 flights" must be true. Because the caption job burns exactly what the voice says, a wrong claim in the script becomes a wrong claim on screen, and fixing it means redoing voice, render and caption for $0.32.
The four-clip cut
Trim four moments of the item in use, around 10 seconds each, at $0.02 per trim. Put them on one Timeline as four video[] slots with a fade between them, and use the voiceover as the audio spine. Set output.width and height only if you want something other than the default vertical 1080 by 1920.
Seven hundred characters of script is $0.03325 at $0.0475 per 1,000, billed as $0.04. That reads as roughly 45 seconds at a calm pace, but the real file length decides: keep the final render at 60 seconds or less so the caption job stays at $0.20 and the render at one minute.
| Step | Rate | One short | Five shorts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Four clip trims | $0.02 per job | $0.08 | $0.40 |
| Voiceover, 700 characters | $0.0475 per 1,000 characters | $0.04 | $0.20 |
| Timeline render, under 1 minute | $0.10 per output minute | $0.10 | $0.50 |
| Captions, up to 60 seconds | $0.20 per job | $0.20 | $1.00 |
| Total | $0.42 | $2.10 |
Where the footage lives
Trim, Timeline and captions all take media.sume.com URLs, so import each archive clip first (see Media inputs). Keep a spreadsheet of clip, trip date and product, so the on-screen claims stay tied to something you can show if a reader asks.
Budget and checks before you start
Keep a simple table of your own: product, link, the trips where you used it, and the affiliate program's current terms. Each short is built from that row. If the affiliate program changes its terms or the product is discontinued, you know exactly which clips to take down, and a re-render is cheap if you only need to change the voice line.
Post the five shorts across Cyber Monday week rather than all at once, and put the disclosure in the description as well as in the voice and captions. Disclosures are your responsibility, and an automated pipeline makes it easy to forget one, so make it the first line of every script template.
