Tavus PALs: Plus is $0.13 a call minute, Max $0.10. A video tool?
Tavus PAL plans: Free 15 minutes, Plus $20 for 150, Max $50 for 500, or $0.133 and $0.10 a minute. These are calls, not rendered clips.

Tavus's pricing page lists three consumer PAL plans: Free with 15 minutes of voice and video calls a month, Plus at $20 for 150 minutes, and Max at $50 for 500 minutes. That works out to about $0.133 a minute on Plus and $0.10 on Max. Those are minutes of conversation with a companion, not rendered video you can post, so they do not compare with a Sume avatar clip at $0.184 to $0.55 a second.
The plans
Read on 2026-10-07. All three list unlimited messaging, and Free lists 30+ languages.
| Plan | Price | Call minutes a month | Cost per minute |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 15 | $0 |
| Plus | $20 | 150 | $0.133 |
| Max | $50 | 500 | $0.10 |
Why this is not the same job
A PAL call is live and two-way: you speak, it answers. The output is a conversation, not a file. A Sume job takes a script and an avatar handle, renders in the background and returns a video URL that you can publish. The avatar video guide describes the 4 to 60 second window and the three tiers.
A minute of rendered Sume video is $11.04 on standard, $14.70 on plus and $33.00 on max. A minute of PAL conversation is ten to thirteen cents. The gap is mostly the difference between a live companion and a produced clip, so use it to see the categories, not to pick a winner.
When each is the right buy
Pick a PAL plan if you want to practice a conversation, such as an interview or a sales call, with something that responds. Pick Sume if the deliverable is a video: an ad, a welcome message, a product explainer.
I did not read PAL's terms for commercial use of its output, so check them before you use anything from a PAL call in public. For Sume, a job returns a media URL you own the workflow for, but any real person's likeness still needs consent.
The plan's other limits
The page lists the number of call minutes, messaging and languages, and I did not read other limits. A per-minute figure is also an upper bound: unused minutes raise the real cost. At 30 minutes a month, Plus works out to $0.67 a minute.
