Soundraw's capped plans work out to $3.00 a download on Artist Starter and $1.80 on Artist Pro billed monthly, or $1.95 and $1.17 billed annually. Its Creator plan ($16.99 monthly, $11.04 annual) and Artist Unlimited ($50, $32.50 annual) have no download cap. Sume Music is $0.125 per accepted generation. Read 2026-10-03.

The break-even against unlimited plans: Creator at $16.99 equals 135 Sume generations, and Artist Unlimited at $50 equals 400.

Soundraw's plans

Creator is unlimited MP3 downloads with commercial use and distribution. Artist Starter is 10 downloads a month, Artist Pro is 20 with WAV and stems, and Artist Unlimited is unlimited with all formats. Enterprise is custom with API access.

Where each shape wins

If you download fewer than 135 tracks a month, a per-generation wallet is cheaper than Soundraw Creator on price alone. Beyond that, an unlimited plan wins. For a team that auditions hard, say 10 takes per kept track, Sume costs $1.250 per kept track, still under Artist Pro's $1.80 and Artist Starter's $3.00.

The comparison is not clean. Soundraw is a subscription for a track library you download from, while Sume Music takes a prompt and returns one generation at a fixed price regardless of length.

Licence and format

Soundraw states commercial use and the right to distribute and monetize on streaming services on every plan, and only the Artist Pro and above plans give WAV and stems. Sume Music returns MP3. Check each licence against your use before you price it.

Limits

Count the tracks you actually keep in a month, then divide.

  • Price per download ignores stems and WAV, which only Soundraw's higher plans give.
  • The break-even assumes every Sume generation is kept; auditioning raises the real cost.
  • Soundraw's enterprise API price is not published.
