Sora API is gone: a replacement clip on Sume, priced by model

OpenAI's deprecation page says the Videos API and the Sora 2 model aliases and snapshots were removed on September 24, 2026, and it lists no replacement. Sume's video models take the same kind of request; what a clip costs depends on the model, the clip length and the resolution.

OpenAI's deprecation page says developers were notified on March 24, 2026 that the Videos API and the Sora 2 model aliases and snapshots would be removed on September 24, 2026, and it lists no replacement. If you need a 10-second clip from an API, Sume's gemini-omni-flash-1.1 takes it (3 to 10 seconds allowed) and bills $0.375 at 360p up to $1.875 at 1080p.

Prices are the provider list price times 1.25; Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 16:9 or 9:16 only.

What changes in the request?

Sume's /v1/videos follows the OpenRouter video schema, so the fields are model, prompt, duration, resolution and aspect_ratio, and the result arrives through a polling_url. Check each field name against your old Sora call; this snippet is a complete request.
