How many words fit

Six seconds is about 17 words at 2.8 words per second. That is one instruction and one benefit: 'Press the pin icon to keep a report at the top. It stays there for every teammate.' Anything over 4 to 12 seconds of speech will be planned as more than one clip, so one tip per job keeps the cost predictable.

The estimate is a plan, not a stopwatch. Sume checks the estimated duration at submit, so look at the returned clip length before you ship.

Shape for an app

Choose 1:1 or 3:4 for a tip card inside a panel, and 9:16 for a mobile sheet. Resolution is 720p. Use the same avatar handle for all six so the product has one recognizable guide, and the same scene prompt so the background does not change from tip to tip.

Burn captions in with the inline captions option; users often have sound off in an app.

Maintenance cost

Product screens change. Treat each tip as a script plus a pinned approved result, and rerender only the ones that change. One 6 second tip is 6 x 0.184 = $1.104 on standard. Keep a list that maps UI feature to clip id, so a release checklist can say which tips to redo.

The clip is a recording. It cannot point at a live element of your interface; your UI has to show the highlight.

Budget for a year of change

Suppose half of the six tips change each quarter. That is 3 x 1.104 = $3.312 a quarter on standard, or $13.248 a year, on top of the first $7.574. If you move to plus, the same pattern costs 3 x 1.47 = $4.41 a quarter. These are small numbers; the larger cost is deciding who owns the script and the release checklist.

Keep clips short enough to replace, and do not add a new avatar for each tip.

Order the tips by how often the feature is used, and render the first two first. If those do not change behavior in your product analytics after a few weeks, do not render the rest. The remaining four would cost 4 x 1.104 = $4.416 on standard.
