Shortest lip-sync clip on Sume: 1 s Fabric $0.10, 5 s H3 Max $0.32
A lip-sync clip can be one second long on Fabric ($0.10 at 480p) but H3 Max needs at least 5 seconds of audio ($0.32 at 480p). Floors and caps for both.

"Lip sync AI photo" and "lip sync AI image to video" are on Google's autocomplete today (read 2026-10-07). On Sume, an image plus a recording becomes a talking clip through two routes, and they set different floors on how short the audio can be. If you are producing reaction cuts, stingers or one-word beats, the floor decides the cost.
Both routes bill by whole seconds of audio, rounded up, at the provider list times 1.25.

What happens at the edges
- H3 Max refuses audio under 5 seconds and over 14.8 seconds at admission. It does not clamp, so a 3-second line is an error, not a 5-second clip.
- Fabric accepts short audio but you pay at least the one-second rate, and a 12.2-second recording is billed as 13.
- For a 4-second line, Fabric 720p costs 4 x $0.1875 = $0.75; H3 Max would need 1 more second of audio and costs 5 x $0.10 = $0.50 at 768p.
Which to use
For clips of 1 to 4 seconds, Fabric is the only route. From 5 to 14.8 seconds the two compete, and H3 Max is cheaper at 768p than Fabric at 720p ($0.10 against $0.1875 per second). Above 14.8 seconds, Fabric is the route again, up to 300 seconds of audio. Pad or trim the recording to the window you pay for before you submit.
