Shortest clip per Sume video model: 3 s of Omni 360p, about 11 cents

The cheapest valid video on Sume is 3 seconds of Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at 360p, which costs $0.1125 (3 x $0.0375) before rounding. The shortest Wan 3.0 clip, 2 seconds, is $0.125 at 480p. Each row has its own minimum duration, set in the Sume docs, and a 'quick test' costs very different amounts depending on which one you pick.

The minimums are: Wan 3.0, 2 seconds; Gemini Omni Flash 1.1, 3 seconds; Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, 4 seconds; MiniMax H3 and H3 Max, 5 seconds. Prices are linear in duration inside each model's range, so the shortest clip is the minimum seconds times the per-second rate.

Minimum-length price table

List prices at default options, in USD, as of 2026-10-09. The third column is the lowest resolution; the last two give the same minimum duration at higher tiers.

What the floor implies for tests

A smoke test across all six rows at their lowest tier and minimum length costs $2.6403. That sum is 0.1125 + 0.125 + 0.70308 + 1.074708 + 0.3125 + 0.3125. Seedance 2.5 is most of the bill, about 41%.

If you only want to confirm that your auth, polling and download code works, use Omni or Wan for the test and swap the model id once the plumbing is right. The request shape is the same for each model, and only model, duration and resolution change.

Reservation rounding

Sume's catalog states that a submit-time reservation is rounded up to whole cents for balance compatibility. A 3-second Omni 360p clip therefore reserves 12 cents against a computed $0.1125, and a 4-second Seedance 2.5 480p clip reserves 108 cents against $1.0747. Read the finished job's usage to see what was captured, and use GET /v1/videos/models to confirm each model's live duration range.

Why the floor matters

The following figures use the same list prices as the tables above.

  • For a CI smoke test run 50 times a month, 50 x $0.1125 = $5.625 on Omni 360p, against 50 x $1.0747 = $53.74 on Seedance 2.5 at 480p.
  • H3's 5-second floor at 768p is $0.375, higher than a 3-second Omni 720p clip at $0.375, so they tie at that point.
  • Wan 3.0's 2-second floor is the shortest clip on the list, which makes it the cheapest option if you test at 480p.
