Sume bills the Seedance family by tokens: frame width x height x seconds x 24 frames per second, divided by 1,024, then charged per 1,000 tokens at the model's rate. A 15-second 720p vertical clip (720 x 1280) is 324,000 tokens on every model in the family, so the price gap between them is only the rate.

Rates are Sume billed rates read on 2026-10-03, provider list times 1.25.

What does the same clip cost across the family?

The table shows one clip. Seedance 2.5 costs about three times Mini for the same token count.

One 15-second 720p 9:16 clip (324,000 tokens) across the Seedance family. Read 2026-10-03.
ModelSume rate15 s, 720p, 9:16vs Mini
Seedance 2.5$0.02675 per 1,000 tokens$8.6673.06x
Seedance 2.0$0.01750 per 1,000 tokens$5.672.00x
Seedance 2.0 Fast$0.01400 per 1,000 tokens$4.5361.60x
Seedance 2.0 Mini$0.00875 per 1,000 tokens$2.8351.00x

How should a team split test and final?

A natural split is to run options on a cheaper family member and the keepers on 2.5, but the models are not interchangeable and a prompt that works on one may need rewording on another. What the arithmetic supports is the budget: ten test clips on Mini cost $28.35, which is about three 2.5 clips at $8.667. Whether three 2.5 clips tell you more than ten Mini clips depends on your prompts, so check on a small sample before standardizing.

Resolution moves the price on every model. At 1080p, Seedance 2.5 bills a higher token rate ($0.02925 per 1,000 against $0.02675 at 480p and 720p), so a 15-second 9:16 clip is $21.3233.

What about queue time and failures?

Price per clip is the main number but not the only one. Every Seedance job reserves its price on submit, captures it on success and refunds it on failure, so a retried failure does not double charge. Budget for retries only on clips you reject, not on jobs that error out.
