Social card images: cost per 1,000 on Sume by model
A thousand social card images cost $25 on Qwen Image, $37.50 on Flux 2 Pro and $100 on Nano Banana 2 at list. Table with the quality-priced GPT Image 2.5 rows.

At the per-image prices in the Sume catalog (read 2026-10-03), 1,000 social cards cost $25 on Qwen Image or Grok Imagine, $37.50 on Flux 2 Pro, $50 on Seedream 4.5, $75 on Ideogram V3 and $100 on Nano Banana 2. GPT Image 2.5 depends on quality: an estimated $7.38 per 1,000 square images at low, $16.50 at medium and $65.88 at high. Retakes and rejected images are extra images, so budget them on top.
Per 1,000 at list
Multiply the per-image price by 1,000. Retakes multiply it again, so a 2x retake rate doubles the bill.

The card ratio
Link-preview cards are wide rectangles. No catalog model lists 1.91:1, so ask for 16:9 or 2:1 and crop to the size your platform wants; 1:1 works for square cards.
Where the money goes
Most of a card's cost is retakes caused by text. OpenAI's image guide (read 2026-10-03) says its models can still struggle with precise text placement and clarity. Generate the art without letters and add the title with an HTML or Pillow template: 1,000 template renders cost nothing in image fees.
- Render the art once per theme, not per card.
- Use
nup to 4 to pick the best of four in one call. - Put the changing title in a template.
