A 5-second, 720p, 16:9 Seedance clip costs $0.945 on Seedance 2.0 Mini, $1.512 on Seedance 2.0 Fast, $1.89 on Seedance 2.0 and $2.889 on Seedance 2.5 when you call them through Sume. All four are catalog models you pin by id on POST /v1/videos.

The clip is the same size for every model, so the price difference comes only from the rate per 1,000 video tokens. That makes this the cleanest way to compare the family before you pick one for a batch job.

Four Seedance models, 5 s, 720p, 16:9, no reference video. Sume catalog values, read from the repo and docs as of 2026-10-08; Sume price = provider list x 1.25

How the numbers are built

Every row uses 1280 x 720 x 5 s x 24 fps / 1024 = 108,000 tokens. The list rate per 1,000 tokens is $0.0070 for Mini, $0.0112 for Fast, $0.0140 for Seedance 2.0 and $0.0214 for Seedance 2.5. For Mini that is 108 x 0.0070 = $0.756 list, and $0.756 x 1.25 = $0.945 on Sume.

Seedance 2.5 costs about 3.1 times Mini for the same pixels (0.0214 / 0.0070). It also is the only one that goes past 15 seconds: it accepts 4 to 30 seconds, while the other three accept 4 to 15.

What stays the same across the family

Per the Sume catalog, all four accept text-to-video, image-to-video with an end frame, reference images, reference videos and reference audio, and all generate audio. Resolutions are 480p, 720p and 1080p, and aspect ratios are auto, adaptive, 21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 and 9:16. Seedance 2.5 carries one extra rate: its 1080p tier lists at $0.0234 per 1,000 tokens instead of $0.0214.

Choosing by job type

The vendor page for Seedance 2.5 on fal describes native 30-second single-shot video at up to 720p (fal page, read 2026-10-08). The Sume catalog lists 1080p for it as well, so confirm the value in GET /v1/videos/models for your key.

  • Storyboard drafts and prompt tests: Mini or Fast, since a wrong take costs under a dollar.
  • Final 5 to 15 second shots where 2.0 quality is enough: Seedance 2.0.
  • Anything between 16 and 30 seconds in one take: Seedance 2.5 is the only family member that accepts it.
  • Not sure: send model: "sume/auto" and let Sume select the family. Sume does not disclose which family served the request.

Reproducing the figures

Request the same body against each model id and compare usage.cost on the completed job. The reserve at submit is the same provider list x 1.25 used above, so a quick dry comparison needs no more than the formula.
