Seedance 2.0, Fast, Mini and 2.5: 5-second 720p clip price on Sume
A 5-second 720p Seedance clip is $0.945 on Mini, $1.512 on Fast, $1.89 on 2.0 and $2.889 on 2.5 at Sume rates. The token arithmetic behind each number.

Short answer
At 1280x720 and 5 seconds, a Seedance clip is 108,000 tokens. At Sume's rates, which are provider list times 1.25, that is $0.945 on seedance-2-mini, $1.512 on seedance-2-fast, $1.89 on seedance-2 and $2.889 on seedance-2.5. The per-token list rates are $0.007, $0.0112, $0.014 and $0.0214 per 1,000 tokens, taken from Sume's pricing tables.
The arithmetic
Tokens are width x height x seconds x 24 / 1,024: 1,280 x 720 x 5 x 24 / 1,024 = 108,000. List price is tokens / 1,000 times the rate. Multiply by 1.25 for the Sume price.
| Model id | List per 1,000 tokens | List for 108,000 | Sume price |
|---|---|---|---|
| seedance-2-mini | $0.007 | $0.756 | $0.945 |
| seedance-2-fast | $0.0112 | $1.2096 | $1.512 |
| seedance-2 | $0.014 | $1.512 | $1.89 |
| seedance-2.5 | $0.0214 | $2.3112 | $2.889 |
Per second and per ten seconds
Divide by five for the second rate: $0.189, $0.3024, $0.378 and $0.5778. A ten second clip doubles each: $1.89, $3.02, $3.78 and $5.78. Seedance 2.5 costs 3.06 times as much as Mini per second at the same resolution, which is the number to weigh against the quality gap you see in your own test.
What else differs
- Length:
seedance-2.5accepts 4 to 30 seconds; the other Seedance ids accept 4 to 15. - Resolution: 1080p is accepted by
seedance-2andseedance-2.5; at 1080p, 2.5's rate steps to $0.0234 per 1,000 tokens list. - Reference video: the pricing code applies a discount factor and counts assumed input seconds, so check the quote before sending one.
- Aspect ratio changes pixels, so 21:9 and 4:3 land slightly above 16:9.
Submit one
Swap the model id to compare. The same request works for all four:
curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/videos \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"model":"seedance-2-mini","prompt":"Rain on a neon street","duration":5,"resolution":"720p"}'Choosing among the four
Use Mini for rough timing and composition tests at $0.945 a clip, Fast when you need a closer look at motion, 2.0 for approved shots that do not need 30 seconds, and 2.5 for finals and for anything longer than 15 seconds. The price ladder is steep enough that drafting on a cheaper id and finishing on a dearer one saves real money across a batch. Because Sume accepts no seed, expect the final to differ from the draft.
Caveats
Rates come from Sume's pricing tables as read on 2026-10-04 and may change; the usage.cost on a finished job is the billed amount. Do not read the sample pricing_skus value in the docs response example as a live rate.
