A 10-second Seedance 2.0 clip at 1080p costs $8.505 on Sume (0.8505 x 10), which rounds to $8.51. A 10-second Seedance 2.5 clip at 720p costs $5.778 (0.5778 x 10), about $5.78. So if you are choosing between the older model at higher resolution and the newer model at lower resolution, the newer model is $2.73 cheaper. Sume does not rank their output quality; this post only prices the choice.

The grid

Both models accept 10 seconds: seedance-2 takes 4 to 15 and seedance-2.5 takes 4 to 30. Rates are Sume catalog prices per output second.

Sume seedance-2 and seedance-2.5 cost for a 10-second clip, read 2026-10-09 (Sume catalog)

1080p$0.8505$8.505$1.42155$14.216

Reading across the diagonal

The 2.0 model is cheaper at every resolution. Seedance 2.0 at 1080p ($8.51) sits between Seedance 2.5 at 720p ($5.78) and Seedance 2.5 at 1080p ($14.22). Seedance 2.5 at 480p ($2.69) is cheaper than Seedance 2.0 at 720p ($3.78) by $1.09.

If the shot only has to appear at 720p in the final edit, 2.0 at 720p ($3.78) is the lowest of the 720p options. If you need the newer model's behavior, 2.5 at 480p is the cheapest way to test whether it helps.

Cost of getting it wrong

Pricing is linear in duration, and Seedance 2.5 bills at least 4 seconds. A rejected 10-second take at 2.5 and 1080p costs $14.22; at 2.0 and 720p it costs $3.78. If you expect to reject two of three takes, prototype at the cheaper cell and promote only the winner. Check supported resolutions with GET /v1/videos/models as in the Video generation docs.
