SCORM export for AI avatar video: HeyGen, Colossyan, and Sume

HeyGen Business and Colossyan Professional list SCORM export. Plan prices, export limits and quizzes, and what Sume returns instead: a plain MP4 with no SCORM.

Two avatar-video vendors list SCORM export on their pricing pages as of 2026-10-08. HeyGen includes quizzes, video branching and SCORM export on its Business plan, $149 a month plus $20 per seat. Colossyan's Professional plan, $59 a month or $30 on annual billing, lists 5 SCORM exports a month, and its Starter plan lists 10 interactive videos a month. Sume lists no SCORM export: Avatar 1.0 returns an MP4 you place in your own course tool.

That decides the buy for many training teams. If your LMS only accepts SCORM packages, a bare MP4 needs another step.

What each pricing page lists

HeyGen's page shows Business at 1,500 credits a month, 60-minute videos and 5+ custom avatars. Colossyan's page shows Professional with 30 minutes of NEO video a month, 30-minute videos and 20 custom avatars. Neither page, as I read it, says whether a SCORM export is limited by duration or file size.

How an MP4 gets into an LMS

Most LMS platforms accept a video file or URL as a content item even when they also accept SCORM. If yours does, an avatar clip works as a lesson video, and the quiz comes from the LMS. Completed Sume results carry a public media.sume.com video URL, so you can embed the link or upload the file.

If your LMS requires SCORM, either buy a plan that exports it or wrap the MP4 with a packaging tool. Sume does not package SCORM, and I have not tested any third-party wrapper.

Cost of a 10-lesson course in clips

Ten lessons of 45 seconds each is 450 seconds. On Sume Standard that is $82.80, on Plus $110.25, on Max $247.50. A 45-second lesson fits a single job under the 60-second limit. The quiz, tracking and completion data come from your LMS.

For a longer course with branching and built-in tracking, the HeyGen and Colossyan plans do more than the clip route can. For short lessons that sit in a tool you already own, the clips are cheap and need no seats; the online course avatar guide covers the workflow.
