Runway Hailuo 3 2K: 15 credits a second, and Sume's H3 rate
Runway API lists hailuo3 at 15 credits per second at 2K plus 2 per reference image. Sume's minimax-h3 2K rate, the 5 to 15 second range, and list x 1.25.

Runway's API pricing page lists hailuo3 at 10 credits per second at 768P and 15 at 2K, plus 2 credits per reference image or keyframe. Runway sells credits at $0.01 each, so 2K is $0.15 per second and each reference is $0.02. Sume's minimax-h3 has a 2K list rate of $0.13 per second, billed at list x 1.25, which is $0.1625.
Runway's numbers are from its page, read 2026-10-01; Sume's are from its pricing tables and the Video Router docs.
What does a 10-second 2K clip cost on each?
Runway adds reference charges on top of the per-second rate; the table shows a clip with no references.
| Tier | Runway credits | Runway at $0.01 | Sume list | Sume at list x 1.25 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Runway 768P / Sume 768p | 100 | $1.00 | $0.60 | $0.750 |
| Runway 2K / Sume 2K | 150 | $1.50 | $1.30 | $1.625 |
Is Sume's 2K the same as Runway's 2K?
Not necessarily. Sume's docs say minimax-h3 accepts native 480p and 768p, that 768p is first-class, and that 2K and 4K upscales are priced if requested. Check which one a 2K line means before comparing it, and read pricing_skus from GET /v1/video-router/models for the exact SKU.
What are the duration limits?
Sume's pricing table sets a minimum of 5 seconds and a maximum of 15, matching the docs' 5 to 15 second range. Runway's page caps a reference video at 15 seconds and bills it at the same per-second rate as output.
What do reference images cost?
Runway charges 2 credits for each. Sume's pricing tables carry an H3-family add-on of $0.08 per reference image after the first 5; the Video Router docs list reference inputs on minimax-h3-max. See H3 reference images in credits and in a Sume quote and Hailuo 3 and MiniMax H3.
