Runway free plan 125 credits: how many seconds of Gen-4.5 is that
Runway's free plan gives 125 one-time credits and Gen-4.5 costs 60 credits per 5 seconds. That is 10 seconds. What the same 10 seconds cost on Sume.

Runway's free plan buys about 10 seconds of Gen-4.5 video. The pricing page gives the free plan 125 one-time credits and lists Gen-4.5 Video at 60 credits for 5 seconds, which is 12 credits a second. Two 5-second clips use 120 credits and leave 5. The free plan does not renew, so after those clips you need a paid plan or another provider.
Seconds per plan at 12 credits a second
The page lists annual-billing prices and regular monthly prices. The table uses the annual price and rounds seconds down.
| Plan | Annual price a month | Credits | Gen-4.5 seconds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 125 one-time | 10 |
| Standard | $12 | 625 | 52 |
| Pro | $28 | 2,250 | 187 |
| Max | $76 | 9,500 | 791 |
The same ten seconds on Sume
Sume has no plan and no credits. You pay per job from a balance, at the provider list price times 1.25. These rows come from the repository price tables for a 10-second clip, with no retakes.
| Model | Resolution | 10 seconds |
|---|---|---|
| Wan 3.0 | 480p | $0.625 |
| Wan 3.0 | 720p | $1.25 |
| Kling Video v3 Pro, audio off | 720p | $1.40 |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 | 720p | $1.25 |
| MiniMax H3 Max | 1080p | $2.00 |
What the comparison leaves out
If you are testing whether AI video fits your workflow, the free 10 seconds is enough for two tries. If you are testing at volume, a balance you top up by the job is easier to forecast than a monthly credit pool, because unused seconds do not sit on a plan.
- Runway's page lists one Gen-4.5 rate and does not tie it to a resolution, so rows are not matched on output size.
- Runway's credit pool is monthly, so a plan only pays off if you use the credits.
- Sume's clip prices exclude trimming, captions and assembly, each billed per job.
A trial plan that uses both
A 5-second Wan 3.0 clip at 480p is $0.3125 on Sume, since the rate is $0.0625 a second. Sume does not run Runway's models, so this is a way to compare outputs, not a way to buy Runway seconds. Whatever you choose, record the model id, the prompt and the clip length, because those three decide the price of the next batch.
- Spend Runway's free 125 credits on two 5-second Gen-4.5 clips for the look you want.
- Run the same two prompts on Sume at 480p for $0.31 a clip on Wan 3.0 to compare motion and cost.
- Keep the winner and note its price per second before you scale up.
