Recraft vector price: $0.08 per SVG image vs $0.04 raster

On Recraft's price page, V3 Vector is $0.08 per image against $0.04 for V3 raster, and vectorizing an existing image is $0.01 per request. See the full table.

On Recraft's API pricing page, generating a vector image costs more than the raster equivalent for most models: Recraft V3 Vector is $0.08 per image against $0.04 for V3 raster, and V4.1 Vector is $0.08 against $0.035 for V4.1 raster. Vectorizing an image you already have is a separate line at $0.01 per request.

All figures are from Recraft's pricing page, read 2026-10-02, where $1.00 buys 1,000 API units.

What does vector generation cost by model?

Each row is billed per image.

Vector and raster generation rows from Recraft's pricing page, read 2026-10-02.
ModelRaster (USD per image)Vector (USD per image)
Recraft V2$0.022$0.044
Recraft V3$0.04$0.08
Recraft V4 Styles$0.035$0.05
Recraft V4 Styles Pro$0.10$0.12
Recraft V4.1$0.035$0.08
Recraft V4.1 Pro$0.21$0.30
Recraft V4 Pro$0.25$0.30

Is vectorizing a raster image cheaper than generating a vector?

By the page's own numbers, yes, if a raster result is acceptable as the starting point. Generating V4.1 raster at $0.035 and then vectorizing at $0.01 is $0.045 for the pair, against $0.08 for V4.1 Vector. The two routes are different calls and can look different, so this is a price comparison, not a quality claim.

The page also lists image-to-image, inpainting, outpainting and background replacement for V3: $0.04 per image on raster and $0.08 on V3 Vector.

What about background removal and upscaling on vectors?

The page also separates operations by version. Refine details is listed for V4.1 Pro only, and the V3 edit lines are listed for V3 and V3 Vector, so check that the model you use appears on the row you are pricing. Those are per-request lines on the same page: background removal $0.01, crisp upscale $0.004, creative upscale $0.25, refine details on V4.1 Pro $0.21, erase region $0.002. They are billed per request, not per image, so a batch of 100 images through one call each is 100 requests. At $0.01 per background removal, that is $1.00 for the batch before generation.

What does this mean if I pay through Sume?

Sume's Images API docs say endpoint pricing lines are the amount charged to your wallet, with Sume's margin applied, and that cost_usd × n is the cost of n images. The output formats the docs list for the example model are png, jpeg and webp; whether a given model id returns SVG is shown in its endpoint record, and the Recraft V4 SVG post covers that question. Do not assume a vendor's SVG line exists on Sume without reading the record.
