Recraft V4 SVG: can you get vector output through Sume?

Not through recraft/recraft-v4. Recraft's own docs list V4 Vector versions and say V4 can generate editable SVG, but the catalog entry Sume lists advertises webp as its only output_format. Asking Sume for svg on that model returns a 400 that lists the accepted value.

What does Recraft say V4 can output?

Recraft's page lists four V4 text-to-image versions: V4, V4 Pro, V4 Vector and V4 Pro Vector. It says V4 is the only model capable of generating editable, production-quality SVG, and lists export formats SVG, PNG, JPG, PDF, TIFF and Lottie. Those export formats describe Recraft's own product, not what an API caller receives on Sume.

What happens if I ask Sume for svg?

Sume checks output_format against the model's advertised values. Anything else returns 400 invalid_request with details.supported listing what is accepted. The Image API reference lists svg among the format values in general, but the per-model catalog decides, so read it for the model you call.

How do I call recraft-v4 on Sume then?

Leave output_format out or set it to webp. The model takes aspect_ratio from 13 values (1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, 4:5, 5:4, 3:2, 2:3, 21:9, 9:21, 1:2, 2:1). One image is estimated at $0.05 on Sume. It is text-to-image only, so input_references returns 400 unsupported_parameter.

Which Recraft V4 version is the Sume id?

Recraft says its Pro versions deliver higher resolution and finer detail, and lists Vector versions separately. Sume lists one id, recraft/recraft-v4, named Recraft V4 in the catalog. Sume's docs do not say which of Recraft's four versions that id maps to, so this post does not guess. Judge it by the images it returns and by the parameters GET /v1/images/models advertises.

Do I need a vector logo?

If you need editable SVG, Sume's image catalog is not the route for Recraft today. Generate a raster mark on Sume, then trace it in a vector tool, or use Recraft directly for its Vector versions (see its V4 page for how). Sume's image URLs are signed, so copy the file you keep into your own storage first.

Will Sume add the Vector versions?

The docs make no promise either way, so this post makes none. If the catalog changes, GET /v1/images/models will show new output_format values for the model.
