Product brochure PDF to a 30-second video: export pages for Wan 3.0

Alibaba says Wan 3.0 reads PDFs. On Sume, export the brochure pages as PNGs and send up to 10 as wan-3.0 references. $3.75 at 720p, $7.50 at 1080p for 30 s.

Export the brochure's pages to PNG, pick up to ten, and send them to wan-3.0 as input_references. A 30-second video then costs $3.75 at 720p or $7.50 at 1080p on Sume. Alibaba and Morphic both say Wan 3.0 accepts a PDF, with Alibaba giving limits of one file, 100 MB and 50 pages, but those statements are about Alibaba's own endpoint. Sume's video docs do not list a document type, so a PDF itself is not an accepted input here.

From brochure to references

A trifold or a 12-page catalog has a lot of text per page and only a few usable images. Export at a resolution that keeps product photos sharp, and choose pages where the picture dominates. For a page that is mostly text, crop out the product photo instead and send that.

Describe the order in the prompt: open on the cover, show the hero product, move through the three features, close on the contact page. Sume documents no page-number or tag syntax for references, so use plain descriptions of what each image shows.

Text in the output

Alibaba lists on-screen text accuracy as still improving, so a generated clip may misspell product names or alter spec numbers. Keep the text out of the generated clip by asking for no captions, then put the real specs on screen in an editor using the original brochure copy.

On Sume, import the clip and use the timeline to join it to an end card. The timeline takes Sume-hosted clips, so import first.

Which pages to leave out

Skip the back cover, legal text, price tables and any page where more than half the area is body copy. Those pages give the model little to animate and invite text artefacts. Keep the cover, the hero product shot, lifestyle photos and one detail page. If the brochure has fewer than ten good pages, send fewer: ten is a ceiling, not a target, and a smaller set gives each reference more weight in the result.

Also check the PDF export for colour shifts. A page that prints in CMYK may look duller as a PNG, and the video will follow the PNG, not the print.

Reading what the model did with each page

After the draft, compare the clip against the pages one by one. Note which pages never appear, which appear but with altered products, and which became background only. Then rewrite the prompt to ask for the missing pages by name and remove any page the model keeps distorting. Two or three rounds at 480p cost $1.88 each, so even five rounds is $9.40, still less than one 1080p final plus one retry.

Cost of getting it right

  • 480p draft: $1.88. Look at which pages the model used.
  • 720p review: $3.75.
  • 1080p final: $7.50.
  • A 12-second cover-and-features cut at 720p is $1.50, if 30 seconds is longer than the brochure justifies.
