Premium vs budget 10-second product ad: Veo Standard vs Sume 480p
A premium 10-second ad (Veo 3.1 Standard, a 4K still, ElevenLabs v3) is about $4.22 at list. A budget Sume stack of 480p clip, 0.5K still and voice is $0.74.

Two ways to build a 10-second product ad, priced end to end. The premium stack buys the top of each list; the budget stack buys the bottom of Sume's.
Premium at list: Veo 3.1 Standard at 720p is $0.40 per second on Google's Gemini API pricing page, so $4.00 for 10 seconds; one Nano Banana 2 4K still is $0.151; and an 800-character voice line on ElevenLabs v3 at $0.08 per 1,000 characters is $0.064 (both pages read 2026-10-03).
The budget stack on Sume
Budget on Sume: a 10-second clip from MiniMax H3 Max at 480p is $0.0625 per second, so $0.625; a Nano Banana 2 still at 0.5K is $0.075; and the same 800 characters at $0.0475 per 1,000 is $0.038. All Sume figures are provider list times 1.25 (see the Video API docs).
| Line | Premium stack at list | Budget stack on Sume |
|---|---|---|
| 10 s video | $4.00 (Veo 3.1 Standard 720p) | $0.625 (H3 Max 480p) |
| Still image | $0.151 (Nano Banana 2 4K) | $0.075 (Nano Banana 2 0.5K) |
| 800-character voice | $0.064 (ElevenLabs v3) | $0.038 (Sume TTS) |
| Total | $4.215 | $0.738 |
What the 5.7x gap is made of
The premium stack is about 5.7 times the budget stack, and nearly all of that is the video line: $4.00 against $0.625, or 6.4 times. The still is 2 times, and the voice line is less than six cents either way.
That shape should guide how you test. Put your effort into finding the cheapest video tier that is good enough, because that is where the money is. Do not spend a week choosing between voice vendors to save two cents.
A mixed stack
Most real builds sit in between: a 768p H3 Max clip at $1.00, a 1K still at $0.10 and the Sume voice at $0.038 is $1.14. Price your own with this snippet.
video = 10 * 0.10 # H3 Max 768p on Sume
still = 0.10 # Nano Banana 2 1K on Sume
voice = 800 / 1000 * 0.0475
print(f'mixed stack: ${video + still + voice:.3f}')
