A pet-photo Halloween offer (30 customers, four costume takes each) costs $3.90 on Seedream 4.0 through Sume: one n: 4 call per pet at $0.0325 per image. Seedream 4.0 is the Seedream row that accepts aspect_ratio: "auto", so each portrait keeps the shape of the customer's photo.

Halloween is Saturday, October 31, so a photo studio, groomer or pet shop has until about October 20 to take orders and still deliver. Prices and parameters are from the Sume catalog (read 2026-10-03).

Cost by number of takes

The per-image rate is flat, so n: 4 costs the same as four single calls; one call per pet is simply easier to track.

Keeping the pet recognizable

The risk with costume edits is a different animal: the model changes markings, ears or eye color. Say exactly what stays ("same dog, same fur markings, same face") and what changes ("wearing a small red dragon costume"), and keep the costume description short. Send one clear, well-lit photo per pet as the only reference.

Review every take against the original before the customer sees it, and offer the pick of four; the customer's choice is the quality check.

  • Use aspect_ratio: "auto" so portrait and landscape photos keep their own shapes.
  • Store the pet's name in the metadata field of the job so results map back to orders.
  • Do not reuse a customer's photo for anything but their order.

Repeat per customer; the response carries four image URLs.
