Runway credit is $0.01: image prices vs Sume Image Router rates
Runway prices Muse Image at 1 credit ($0.01). Sume bills Image Router models from $0.005 per image, list price times 1.25. Seven-row table.

Image prices are easy to misread when one vendor quotes credits and another quotes dollars. Runway's developer pricing page says 1 credit is $0.01 and lists Muse Image at 1 credit per image, so a Muse image is one cent. The same page lists GPT Image 2.5 Flare at up to 76 credits, which is up to $0.76 per image (read 2026-10-05).
Sume does not use credits as a separate currency: the wallet is in US dollars and, per the billing and credits docs, 1 credit equals $1. Image Router prices are the provider list price times 1.25. This post lines up the per-image dollar figures so you can budget a batch.
Sume Image Router per-image rates
The list column is the provider price before margin and the Sume column is what the wallet is charged. The figures come from the Sume rate card and the shipped catalog.
| Model | Provider list | Sume price |
|---|---|---|
| higgsfield-soul (720p) | $0.004 | $0.005 |
| grok-image | $0.02 | $0.025 |
| qwen-image | $0.02 | $0.025 |
| imagen-4-fast | $0.02 | $0.025 |
| flux-2-pro | $0.03 | $0.0375 |
| seedream-5-lite | $0.035 | $0.04375 |
| nano-banana-2 | $0.08 | $0.10 |
Batch math
For a 100 image test batch, one cent per image is $1.00. The cheapest Sume row, at $0.005, is $0.50 for 100, while nano-banana-2 at $0.10 is $10.00. The spread across the seven rows above is about 20 to 1, which matters more than the vendor's choice of unit.
Runway's credit price is a different product: it is not an Image Router model and this post makes no claim that Muse Image is available on Sume. Use it as a reference point for what a cent-per-image tier looks like. For the full Sume list see the Sume API rate card.
- Convert credits to dollars first: credits x $0.01 on Runway.
- Compare in dollars per image, not per credit.
- Check the model's resolution; the 0.004 row is quoted at 720p.
- Reserve at the Sume price, which already includes the 1.25 margin.
