No seed on Omni Flash: budget five takes per shot instead
Sume video models do not accept seed, so a Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 retry is a new draw. Price 3, 5 or 8 takes for 12 shots of 6 s at 720p.

Sume's video docs say no v1 video model accepts a seed, and each model reports seed: false. For Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 that means you cannot repeat a good result by repeating the request. The practical answer is to budget a number of takes per shot, keep the winner, and stop. Five takes of a 6-second shot at 720p cost $3.75.
The cost of takes
A 6 s clip at 720p is 6 x 12.5 = 75 cents. The table scales that to a 12-shot spot.
Sume rounds each clip up to the next whole cent, so a clip total is ceil(seconds x rate), not a sum of fractional cents.
| Takes per shot | Per shot | 12 shots | Arithmetic |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | $2.25 | $27.00 | 12 x 3 x 75 cents |
| 5 | $3.75 | $45.00 | 12 x 5 x 75 cents |
| 8 | $6.00 | $72.00 | 12 x 8 x 75 cents |
Draft cheaper, finish once
Run the takes at 360p (23 cents for 6 s) and render only the winner at 720p or higher. Eight 360p takes are $1.84 per shot, which is under three 720p takes ($2.25). But a new draw at a higher resolution is a new clip, so a 360p winner is not guaranteed to look the same when re-rendered. Use the draft to choose the prompt, not to choose the exact frames.
If you need the exact frames, take the final directly at the target resolution and accept the takes there.
Keep the winner
Download the file from unsigned_urls[0] as soon as the job completes, and store the job id and the prompt next to it. A replay with the same Idempotency-Key returns the original job and does not make a new take, which makes the key useful for safe retries but not for variations.
For variations, change the Idempotency-Key and the prompt by a word or two; each is a separate charge.
The same length at every tier
For reference, a 6-second Omni Flash clip at each resolution. Every price is the seconds times the billable rate, rounded up to a whole cent, as of 2026-10-08.
| Resolution | Arithmetic | Billed |
|---|---|---|
| 360p | 6 x 3.75 = 22.5 cents | $0.23 |
| 720p | 6 x 12.5 = 75 cents | $0.75 |
| 1080p | 6 x 18.75 = 112.5 cents | $1.13 |
| 4K | 6 x 37.5 = 225 cents | $2.25 |
Limits to remember
These apply to every request on this page, from the Video Router and Video generation docs:
- Length is 3 to 10 whole seconds in generation modes; an edit takes no duration.
- Aspect ratio is 16:9 or 9:16; an edit takes no aspect ratio.
- Native synced audio is always on, and
generate_audio: falseis rejected. - There is no
bitrate_mode, no reference audio and noseed. - Billing is the provider list times 1.25 per output second, reserved at submit and shown in
usage.cost.
