Newegg Premium Store banner size 1920x360 and how to make it

Newegg's Premium Store banner spec (1920x360, safe areas, under 5 MB, up to 9 banners) and the Sume aspect ratios that get closest.

What size is a Newegg Premium Store banner?

Newegg's Manage Premium Store page gives the banner as 1920 by 360 pixels, under 5 MB, as JPG, JPEG or PNG. It names a 1000 by 360 safe area for essential content and a 900 by 300 safe area for text, and says larger images may be cropped on some devices. A storefront page can hold up to 9 banners.

That is an extreme aspect ratio: 1920 divided by 360 is about 5.33 to 1. No single Sume model has that exact ratio in its catalog, so the practical route is to generate the closest wide ratio and crop.

The page also says these Premium Store features are available to Professional and Enterprise members on Newegg.com and Newegg.ca.

Which Sume model gets close to 5.33 to 1?

Nano Banana 2 (google/nano-banana-2) lists wide ratios beyond the usual set: 21:9, 16:9, 4:1 and 8:1 among others, plus auto, and a resolution enum of 0.5K, 1K, 2K and 4K. Ideogram 4.5 lists 3:1 and 2:1 but nothing wider. ChatGPT Image 2.5 limits custom sizes to an aspect ratio of at most 3:1, so it cannot make a banner this wide directly.

The 8:1 ratio is wider than 5.33:1 and 4:1 is narrower. With 4:1 you would have extra height to crop away: a 1920 by 480 image trimmed to 1920 by 360 removes a quarter of the height. Whether you generate at 4:1 or 8:1, the crop to the exact 1920 by 360 happens in your own tooling, since the Sume docs list no banner-crop feature.

What to ask Sume for

Ask for 4:1, a resolution of 2K, and a composition that keeps the subject in the middle, so the 1000 pixel safe area stays meaningful after cropping. Leave the headline text out of the generated image and add it in your own design tool inside the 900 by 300 text area; baked-in text would be at the mercy of the crop.

``json { "model": "google/nano-banana-2", "prompt": "Wide storefront banner, product line arranged in the center, soft studio light, empty space left and right, no text", "aspect_ratio": "4:1", "resolution": "2K", "output_format": "png", "n": 2 } ``

Check the endpoint's descriptors before pinning resolution and output_format on this model; a request that sets a parameter the model does not list is rejected with 400 unsupported_parameter.

Checking the result before upload

Measure the cropped file at exactly 1920 by 360, confirm it is under 5 MB, and view it at phone width, because Newegg says larger images may crop on certain devices. For other storefront assets, see AI lifestyle product photography.
