New presenter in a 10-second ad: Recast $3.75 at 768p, $5.63 at 1080p
Swap the person in a 10-second ad for a new presenter with H3 Max Recast on Sume: $3.75 at 768p or $5.63 at 1080p, one photo, soundtrack and cuts kept.

A 10-second ad with a new presenter costs $3.75 at 768p and $5.63 at 1080p on Sume with H3 Max Recast (model id h3-max-recast). You send the finished ad as the source video and one photo of the new presenter. The output keeps the source length, motion, camera, cuts and soundtrack, so you pay for the swap and not for a new shoot.
The 10-second price, with the arithmetic
Sume bills the provider list price times 1.25 and rounds the total up to the next cent. Recast lists at $0.30 per second at 768p and $0.45 per second at 1080p. The duration is the inspected length of your source video, rounded up to whole seconds.
| Resolution | List per second | List for 10 s | x 1.25 | Billable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 768p | $0.30 | $3.00 | $3.75 | $3.75 |
| 1080p | $0.45 | $4.50 | $5.625 | $5.63 |
Why 10 seconds is a convenient test length
Most paid-social cuts that carry one presenter sit between 8 and 15 seconds. At 10 seconds you are well inside the 5 to 30 second window and far from the rule that no single shot may run longer than 15 seconds. Ten seconds also divides the price cleanly: every extra second at 768p adds $0.375, so a 10-second job is exactly ten steps of that rate.
The photo itself is free. Recast takes 1 to 4 reference photos with one photo per new person, and the price does not change with the photo count. For a single-presenter ad, send one clear, front-facing photo.
Steps for the ad swap
Run the source clip through video inspect or your editor to read its length, then round up. A 9.6-second export bills as 10 seconds. Submit the clip URL plus the photo URL to the Video Router with model: h3-max-recast. Leave resolution out to get the 768p default, or send 1080p for the finish.
Keep the request narrow. Recast does not take an aspect ratio, first-frame image, generate_audio flag, seed or audio reference. The prompt is optional and only needed to say who becomes whom or what else to keep.
- Source: one video, 5 to 30 seconds, no single shot over 15 seconds.
- References: 1 to 4 public HTTPS photo URLs, one per new person.
- Default resolution: 768p. Opt in to 1080p when the ad is final.
- Output: same length, motion, camera, cuts and sound as the source.
When to pay for 1080p
The 1080p row costs $1.88 more on a 10-second ad. If the swap is a test for a creative review, keep it at 768p and only re-run the winners at 1080p. If the ad ships tomorrow and the platform will show it full screen, the extra amount is small next to a re-shoot.
Mistakes that cost a second run
Four mistakes account for most wasted swaps on a short ad. The first is a photo with a hat, sunglasses or a hand across the face, which gives the model less to work with; use an even, front-facing photo with a plain background. The second is a source video with several people when you meant to change one: send one photo per person you want replaced, in the order they appear from left to right, or say who becomes whom in the prompt. The third is a master that was exported at 10.3 seconds, which bills as 11 seconds: $4.13 at 768p instead of $3.75. Trim the tail before you inspect it. The fourth is skipping the 768p draft: at $3.75 a draft is cheap insurance before a $5.63 final.
