MiniMax H3 Max 768p: 15 s is $1.50 on Sume, $1.20 on Runway Dev
Runway Dev lists h3_max at 5 credits per second at 480p and 8 at 768p. Sume lists minimax-h3-max at $0.0625 and $0.10, plus a 1080p row at $0.20.

A 15-second clip of MiniMax H3 Max at 768p costs $1.50 on Sume (15 x $0.10) and $1.20 on Runway Dev (15 x 8 credits x $0.01). The Sume rate is 1.25 times the Runway dollar rate at both 480p and 768p. Sume also lists a 1080p row at $0.20 per second, which is $3.00 for 15 seconds.
Sume's docs describe minimax-h3-max as the faster 768p variant, doing text-to-video, first and last frame image-to-video and reference-to-video for 5 to 15 seconds with native stereo audio. They add that 1080p is a latent refinement from native 768p.
Price table
Runway's page, read 2026-10-09, lists h3_max at 480p and 768p. I did not find a 1080p row for it there, so the 1080p comparison is Sume only.
| Resolution | Runway credits/s | Runway 15 s | Sume $/s | Sume 15 s |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 480p | 5 | $0.75 | $0.0625 | $0.9375 |
| 768p | 8 | $1.20 | $0.10 | $1.50 |
| 1080p | not in table read | n/a | $0.20 | $3.00 |
H3 versus H3 Max on Sume
Sume lists two MiniMax rows. minimax-h3 is 5 to 15 seconds at native 480p and 768p, priced $0.0625 and $0.075 per second, so 15 seconds at 768p is $1.125. minimax-h3-max costs $0.10 at the same resolution, a $0.375 premium over 15 seconds for the Max variant. There is also h3-max-recast, which replaces people in a source video with people from 1 to 4 reference photos, for 5 to 30 seconds at 768p or 1080p.
Which to pick
For first-pass drafts at 5 seconds, 768p H3 costs 5 x $0.075 = $0.375 on Sume. H3 Max at the same length is $0.50. Pull GET /v1/videos/models to confirm the live capabilities, since supported_input_references differs per model: H3 Max reports image, video and audio references.
Volume examples
The following figures use the same list prices as the tables above.
- Fifty 15-second 768p clips: Sume 50 x $1.50 = $75.00; Runway 50 x $1.20 = $60.00.
- Fifty 5-second 768p clips: Sume 50 x $0.50 = $25.00; Runway 50 x $0.40 = $20.00.
- At 1080p on Sume, fifty 15-second clips are 50 x $3.00 = $150.00, double the 768p price for a latent refinement of the same native render.
- Sume also describes H3 Max as the faster 768p variant, so the premium over H3 is also a speed choice.
Limits of this comparison
One more difference worth noting is the surrounding product. Runway Dev sells credits at $0.01 each on its own portal; Sume bills USD from a single balance that also pays for images, speech, music and renders. If you only ever call H3 Max, the 20% saving on Runway's rate is real, at $0.30 per 15-second 768p clip. If H3 Max is one stage of a pipeline, the extra $0.30 pays for not integrating and funding a second vendor.
