MiniMax H3 Max 40% off ends Oct 15: what Sume charges per second

fal's H3 Max launch promo ends Oct 15. Sume bills list x 1.25 and never the promo. Per-second and 5-second prices at 480p, 768p and 1080p, before and after.

On Sume, MiniMax H3 Max costs $0.0625 per second at 480p, $0.10 at 768p and $0.20 at 1080p, and those prices will not change on October 15. fal's page for the model, read on 2026-10-05, shows a 40 percent promotion through October 15, after which its list rates are $0.05, $0.08 and $0.16 per second. Sume locks the ongoing list rate times 1.25 and ignores launch promotions, so the Sume price today is the Sume price after the promo ends.

The rates on both sides

fal lists promotional rates of $0.03, $0.048 and $0.096 per second at 480p, 768p and 1080p until October 15, and regular rates of $0.05, $0.08 and $0.16 afterwards. Sume's provider-pricing table carries the regular rates, with a code comment that the temporary promotion is excluded, and the video docs say Sume reserves provider list times 1.25 at submit. The last two columns are a 5-second clip, the model's minimum duration.

1080p$0.160$0.096$0.2000$0.80$1.00

What this means if you buy direct from fal

Until the promotion ends, a 5-second 1080p H3 Max clip is $0.48 on fal and $1.00 on Sume. After October 15 it is $0.80 on fal and $1.00 on Sume. The Sume premium over the list rate is a fixed 25 percent, so it is $0.20 on the post-promo clip, and the premium over today's promotional price is $0.52.

That is the honest cost of the comparison. If you can run a large batch of H3 Max clips this week directly on fal, the promo makes it cheaper than Sume by more than the 25 percent. If you need the clips tomorrow, next month or from a pipeline that already runs on Sume, plan with the list rate.

A 40-clip batch

Take a batch of 40 five-second clips, which is 200 seconds of footage. The table prices it three ways. The Sume column is list times 1.25. Neither side's figures include taxes or any plan fee.

For a one-off batch finished this week, the promotion makes direct purchase clearly cheaper. For a recurring job, the list column is the one to plan against.

Limits that affect the price

H3 Max accepts 5 to 15 seconds per clip on Sume, so 5 seconds is the cheapest single clip and 15 seconds is the largest. The model supports 480p, 768p and 1080p, and the docs describe 1080p as a refinement from native 768p. Because the 1080p rate is double the 768p rate on both sides, a draft at 768p and a final at 1080p costs $0.10 plus $0.20 per second of finished footage.

  • 5-second clip, 480p: $0.3125 on Sume.
  • 5-second clip, 768p: $0.50 on Sume.
  • 15-second clip, 1080p: $3.00 on Sume.

How to use the date

There is nothing to do on the Sume side before October 15. If you budget by the list rate, the numbers hold on both sides of the date. If you are comparing against a direct fal bill, use the promotional column for work you will finish by October 15 and the list column for everything after.

Pages like fal's can change at any time, and Sume's own live rate is available from the catalog endpoint documented on the video docs page. Read both before you commit a budget, and use fal's H3 Max page for the vendor side.
