Micro-drama episode length: 60, 90 or 180 seconds priced
Reels now allow 3 minutes. See what a 60, 90 and 180-second AI micro-drama episode costs in Wan 3.0 shots and Timeline minutes on Sume.

How long should an episode be?
Instagram Reels now run up to 3 minutes, reported by NapoleonCat, so an episode no longer has to fit 60 seconds. The cost grows linearly with shots, so length is a budget decision.
| Episode | 10 s shots | Wan 3.0 720p | Timeline | Total (Wan) | Total (Seedance 2.5 480p, 30 s jobs) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 60 s | 6 | $7.50 | $0.10 | $7.60 | $16.24 |
| 90 s | 9 | $11.25 | $0.20 | $11.45 | $24.41 |
| 180 s | 18 | $22.50 | $0.30 | $22.80 | $48.72 |
Reading the table
Timeline bills $0.10 per output minute rounded up, so a 90-second episode is two minutes. Seedance 2.5 does 4 to 30 seconds per job at about $0.2687 per second at 480p, which is why its column uses 30-second jobs.
Captions are a separate $0.20 job limited to videos up to 60 seconds, so for longer episodes caption each 60-second part before the final compose or use a shorter cut.
