Mercado Libre Clips requirements: 9:16, 10-60 seconds, with sound
Mercado Libre Clips needs vertical 9:16, 10 to 60 seconds, and voice or music. One seedance-2.5 call reaches 30 seconds; a full minute needs two clips.

Mercado Libre says Clips must be vertical 9:16, last between 10 seconds and one minute, and include voice or background music. One seedance-2.5 request reaches 4 to 30 seconds, so a 10 to 30 second Clip is a single generation (set generate_audio if the catalog says the model supports it), and anything from 31 to 60 seconds takes two clips joined with Timeline 1.0.
Requirements are from Mercado Libre's Global Selling page, read 2026-10-01. Generation limits are from Sume's video docs.
What does Mercado Libre require?
The page notes that Clips is enabled only for sellers whose accounts have a reputation color. It also lists the points below, plus rules on contact details, prices, third-party material and static images.
| Mercado Libre rule | Sume side |
|---|---|
| Vertical 9:16 | aspect_ratio: "9:16"; read supported_aspect_ratios for the model |
| 10 seconds to one minute | seedance-2.5: 4 to 30 seconds per request |
| Voice or background music | generate_audio where the model can generate audio |
| No static images in the video | Check the finished clip: motion all the way through |
What does a 9:16 clip cost at 720p?
These are estimates from Sume's provider pricing code for seedance-2.5 at 720p and 9:16, billable amount before any agent fee.
| Length | Estimate |
|---|---|
| 10 seconds | $5.78 |
| 20 seconds | $11.56 |
| 30 seconds | $17.34 |
How do I request it?
Submit POST /v1/videos, poll until completed, then download from the content URL. Check the models endpoint first: limits are not uniform, and each model lists its own aspect ratios and durations.
curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/videos \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: ml-clip-001" \
-d '{
"model": "seedance-2.5",
"prompt": "Hands unbox the product, turn it to show every side, soft room light",
"aspect_ratio": "9:16",
"resolution": "720p",
"duration": 20,
"generate_audio": true
}'What needs two clips?
Anything over 30 seconds. Generate two clips, then join them in Timeline 1.0, which needs an audio spine; the steps are in the one-minute video post. Mind the rules that no generator solves: a product linked to the listing, a kit shown in full, and safe areas near the buttons. A clip that holds a still frame may break the static-image rule, so review the result. To go past 30 seconds from one clip, see extend an AI video past 30 seconds.
