Magic Hour API on every plan vs Sume concurrency by plan
Magic Hour lists the full API on all plans and 3 to unlimited concurrent jobs. Sume runs 1, 4, 8 or 20 jobs at once by plan, with queues of 5 to 100.

The short answer
Magic Hour's pricing page lists the full API on all plans, with Creator at 3 concurrent jobs, Pro at 5 and Business unlimited. Sume's documented concurrency by plan is 1 processing job on Free, 4 on Pro, 8 on Startup and 20 on Scale or Enterprise, each with a queue behind it. What Magic Hour prints
Magic Hour's yearly plans are Creator at $12 a month with 144,000 credits a year, Pro at $25 with 300,000 and Business at $66 with 840,000. Credit packs run from 5,000 credits for $12 up to 80,000 for $149.99.
| Plan | Price per month | Credits per year | Concurrent jobs | API |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creator | $12 | 144,000 | 3 | Full API |
| Pro | $25 | 300,000 | 5 | Full API |
| Business | $66 | 840,000 | Unlimited | Full API |
What Sume documents
Sume counts three numbers per plan: jobs processing, jobs waiting in the queue, and the total accepted at one time. When the accepted total is reached, a new submit returns 429 queue_full instead of being silently dropped.
| Plan | Processing | Queue | Accepted |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 5 | 6 |
| Pro | 4 | 20 | 24 |
| Startup | 8 | 40 | 48 |
| Scale | 20 | 100 | 120 |
| Enterprise | 20 | 100 | 120 |
Credits against seconds
Magic Hour sells credits and its yearly credit total divides to 12,000 a month on Creator and 25,000 on Pro. Sume sells seconds: $0.245 per second on the default Plus tier for avatar video. A 30-second clip is $7.35, and Sume bills by use, so there is no yearly allowance to run out of or leave unused.
For batches the question is how many jobs run at once. 100 clips on Pro: 4 run, 20 wait, and 24 are accepted at one time, so a script should submit in waves and retry on 429 with a pause. On Scale, 20 run at once and 120 are accepted. Magic Hour's unlimited concurrency on Business is a stronger number for pure parallelism, so weigh it against what the rest of the pipeline needs.
Credit packs and the per-credit price
Magic Hour's top-up packs run from 5,000 credits for $12 ($0.0024 per credit) to 80,000 for $149.99 ($0.00187 per credit), against about $0.001 per credit on the yearly Creator plan ($144 a year for 144,000 credits). Buying packs on top of a plan is therefore more expensive per credit than the plan. Sume has no credit unit for avatar video, so the equivalent decision does not exist: you pay per second at your tier.
