Lyria 3 Clip 30-second music API: ids Sume lists
Lyria 3 Clip always makes 30 seconds. Sume does not list it; ask for a 30-second track in the prompt with sume/music-auto, lyria-3.5 or lyria-3-pro.

Lyria 3 Clip (lyria-3-clip-preview) always generates a 30-second clip, but it is not one of the ids in Sume's Music Router catalog. To get a 30-second track from Sume, say so in the prompt and send it to sume/music-auto, lyria-3.5 or lyria-3-pro.
Google's table is from its music generation page; Sume's from the Music Router docs, both read 2026-09-30.
What is Lyria 3 Clip?
Google lists two Lyria models for the Gemini API: Lyria 3 Clip for short clips, loops and previews at 30 seconds, and Lyria 3.5 for full-length songs of a couple of minutes, controllable with the prompt. Both output MP3.
Which ids does Sume accept?
| Id | Notes |
|---|---|
sume/music-auto | Default when model is omitted; Lyria 3.5 today |
lyria-3.5 | Full-length structured songs up to a few minutes |
lyria-3-pro | Pass-through catalog id |
lyria-3-clip-preview | Not listed; an unknown id fails with 400 model_not_found |
How do I ask for a 30-second track?
Put the length in the prompt. The docs say to steer length there, and the example prompt ends with "A 30-second track." duration and duration_seconds are rejected, so do not send them. Section markers such as [0:00-0:30] Intro: ... also work as a length hint.
curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/music-router/generate \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: clip-30s-001" \
-d '{
"model": "sume/music-auto",
"prompt": "Warm lo-fi hip hop, 84 BPM. A 30-second track. Instrumental, no vocals."
}'Will the result be exactly 30 seconds?
Treat the length as a prompt direction, not a guaranteed setting, and check the returned audio. Unlike Clip, which Google says always generates 30 seconds, no Sume field fixes duration. For the limits on prompt text, see prompt length.
