LinkedIn's video ad specs say in-stream video ads can be up to 90 seconds long, and that they are currently in testing and gradually released, so you may not have access. To prepare one, trim to the length you want with Sume Video trim, whose duration runs from 0.2 to 900 seconds, and render horizontal and vertical versions for pairing.

LinkedIn details are from its Help page, read 2026-10-01. Sume behavior is from Video trim and Timeline 1.0.

What does LinkedIn say about in-stream ads?

Standard LinkedIn video ads run 3 seconds to 30 minutes, MP4, 75 KB to 500 MB. In-stream is the one that can be up to 90 seconds. Videos under 30 seconds loop, per the same page.

How do I cut to 90 seconds?

Send start plus either duration or end to Video trim, never both. Past the source end it clamps and the result warns trim_clamped_to_source. Use precision exact for a frame-accurate cut.

How do I make both orientations?

Sume's Auto video create controls take 3 to 10 second clips at 16:9 or 9:16, so you can generate one of each. Timeline 1.0 defaults to 1080x1920 and takes output width and height from 256 to 2160, with fps of 24, 25, 30 or 60; omit fps to match the sources.

What if I lack access?

Because LinkedIn calls the format a test, check Campaign Manager before building to the 90-second limit. The regular video ad format still accepts the file; see the loop rule for shorter clips.
