Ideogram 4.5 per 100 images: $4 low, $8 medium, $28 high on Sume
Ideogram 4.5 on Sume bills 4, 8 or 28 cents per image by quality, the same at 1K and 2K. Costs for 100, 500, 1,000 and 10,000 images, with the x1.25 arithmetic.

Ideogram 4.5 on Sume bills 4 cents at low quality, 8 cents at medium and 28 cents at high, so 100 images cost $4, $8 or $28. The Image API docs list $0.03, $0.06 and $0.22 per image by quality "for all sizes", which means 1K and 2K cost the same. If you omit quality, the default is medium.
From list price to the bill
List $0.03 times 1.25 is $0.0375, rounded up to 4 cents. List $0.06 times 1.25 is $0.075, rounded up to 8 cents. List $0.22 times 1.25 is $0.275, rounded up to 28 cents. Use quality low, medium or high and resolution 1K or 2K.
| Quality | Billed per image | 100 | 500 | 1,000 | 10,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| low | 4 cents | $4 | $20 | $40 | $400 |
| medium | 8 cents | $8 | $40 | $80 | $800 |
| high | 28 cents | $28 | $140 | $280 | $2,800 |
What the settings do
Because 2K costs the same as 1K, a 2K request is free resolution when you need the pixels, though large sizes may take longer and are the most likely to return 202 instead of 200. With references, Ideogram 4.5 edits the first image and uses up to 4 more as references, 5 in total. An edit without aspect_ratio keeps the shape of the source image.
The catalog lists 15 aspect ratios, including 16:10, 10:16, 1:3 and 3:1, which few other rows offer. The output format is chosen by the provider, so the output_format field is not a control here.
- Low at 4 cents: idea sweeps and layout tests.
- Medium at 8 cents: the default, enough for most posts.
- High at 28 cents: reserve for finals, 3.5 times the medium bill.
A budget example
A 500-image campaign with 450 medium drafts and 50 high finals costs 450 x 8 + 50 x 28 = 3,600 + 1,400 = 5,000 cents, or $50. The same 500 all at high would cost $140.
Where it sits in the catalog
At 8 cents for medium, Ideogram 4.5 costs the same as Ideogram V3 and Imagen 4 Ultra, a cent more than GPT Image 2.5 at high, and 2 cents less than Nano Banana 2.1. Its low tier at 4 cents is the same price as Flux 2 Pro, so it is a candidate for cheap text-heavy drafts too. Sume does not publish a text-quality ranking, so run your own prompts.
Check the receipt in the response. usage.cost is the amount billed to your wallet, and for n images you pay cost_usd times n. Log it per call, and compare it with the arithmetic here after your first 20 images, so a surprise shows up while it is still a dollar.
