12-slide carousel with Ideogram 4.5: $0.45, $0.90 or $3.30
A 12-image carousel on Ideogram 4.5 costs $0.45 at low, $0.90 at medium or $3.30 at high on Sume. Resolution 1K or 2K does not change the price.

A 12-slide carousel on Ideogram 4.5 costs $0.45 at low quality, $0.90 at medium and $3.30 at high on Sume. Quality sets the price; 1K and 2K resolution cost the same. A mixed plan, all 12 at low and 3 redone at high, costs $1.275.
Price per tier
Ideogram 4.5 lists at $0.03, $0.06 and $0.22 per image by quality, for all sizes, according to the Sume image docs. Sume bills list times 1.25.
| Quality | List per image | Sume per image | 12 slides |
|---|---|---|---|
| low | $0.03 | $0.0375 | $0.45 |
| medium (default) | $0.06 | $0.075 | $0.90 |
| high | $0.22 | $0.275 | $3.30 |
| 12 at low, 3 redone at high | $1.275 |
Choosing a tier for a carousel
Carousels are read on a phone, so slide text and layout matter more than fine texture. Low quality is a sensible first pass for composition; medium is the default if you omit quality; high is for slides you will feature.
The mixed plan costs $1.275, which is $2.025 less than rendering every slide at high. Three high redos is a count you choose, not a rule.
- Set quality explicitly; an omitted value defaults to medium.
- Keep every slide in one aspect ratio so the carousel crops evenly.
- Re-roll a single slide, not the batch.
A month of carousels
Four carousels a week is about 16 a month. At low quality that is $7.20, at medium $14.40 and at high $52.80. The gap between low and high over a month, $45.60, is the price of using high on every slide of every carousel.
Most teams will not need that. A cover slide and a closing slide carry the most attention, so using high for two slides per carousel and low for ten costs $0.925 per carousel, or $14.80 a month.
Image jobs finish quickly, so they rarely sit in the queue, but they still reserve at submit. A 12-slide batch at high reserves $3.30 up front.
Edits cost the same as new images
Ideogram 4.5 edits an image when you pass input_references. The first reference is the image to edit and up to four more are references, five in all. The list price is per image by quality, so an edit at medium costs the same as a new image at medium.
That matters for carousels built from one master slide. Generate a master at high for $0.275, then produce the other eleven as edits at low for $0.4125. The set costs $0.6875.
An edit without aspect_ratio keeps the shape of the source image, so a square master gives square slides. Set aspect_ratio when you want a different shape, and set it the same on every slide so the carousel crops evenly.
Image size and the bill
Ideogram 4.5 offers 1K or 2K resolution. The Sume docs state the list price is by quality, for all sizes, so you can ask for 2K at no extra cost. Pick the size by where the slides will be shown, not by price.
Budget check
A carousel is cheap enough that the wallet is rarely the limit. If you run 50 carousels a month at medium, that is 50 times $0.90, or $45.00. For other image models see per-image list prices and 1K versus 2K on Ideogram.
