Ideogram 4.5 batch of 4 images: 15 cents at low quality, not 16
Asking for four Ideogram 4.5 images in one call costs 15, 30 or 110 cents at low, medium or high on Sume, a cent or two under four single jobs.

Four Ideogram 4.5 images in one call cost 15 cents at low quality, 30 at medium and 110 at high on Sume. Four separate jobs would cost 16, 32 and 112, so batching saves 1, 2 and 2 cents.
Why batching is cheaper
Sume rounds each job up to a whole cent. A single low image is 3.75 cents, billed as 4. Four low images in one job are 15.0 cents, billed as 15. The saving is only rounding, not a bulk discount, and the Ideogram 4.5 catalog row accepts n from 1 to 4 (read the n range from GET /v1/images/models to confirm).
| Quality | 1 image | 4 images, one call | 4 images, four calls | Saved |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| low | $0.04 | $0.15 | $0.16 | $0.01 |
| medium | $0.08 | $0.30 | $0.32 | $0.02 |
| high | $0.28 | $1.10 | $1.12 | $0.02 |
When it matters
At 4 cents a unit, a cent is a 6 percent difference at low quality, which is real across thousands of images. At high quality the saving is under 2 percent, so batching should be for convenience there.
Batches produce variations of one prompt. If you need four different edits of four different source images, they are four calls and the single-image prices apply; the edit price page has those. Rounding mechanics are in the quote rounding post.
Limits
Four is the cap per call. Eight images are two calls: at medium that is $0.60. The Sume image models docs cover references and resolution, which do not alter the price.
- Cap: 4 images per call.
- Savings come from rounding only.
- Same prices for edits and generations.
Scaling the saving
Across 10,000 low-quality images, grouping into calls of four saves 1 cent per group: 2,500 groups x 1 cent = $25. At medium it is 2 cents per group, so $50, and the same at high. These are real but modest sums; the principal reason to group is fewer requests to manage rather than the discount.
One design note: because the four images share a prompt, grouping suits exploring variations. If you plan to keep one of four and drop three, the cheaper path may be one low-quality call at 15 cents followed by a single high-quality rerun at 28, for 43 cents in all, against 110 for four high-quality images up front.
How these numbers were produced
These figures come from Sume's own price estimators, run on 2026-10-06 through estimateImageRouterProviderCost for ideogram-v4.5, covering one and four images at low, medium and high quality. The output fields are billableAmountUsdMicros and billableAmountUsdCents; the tables show the cents.
These are estimates of the billed amount for the stated settings. Anything not in the table, such as a different frame shape, a reference input or a changed quality tier, can change the number, so run the estimate for your own request before a large batch. Where this page and the public API pricing list disagree, the pricing page and the live quote win.
