Ideogram 4.5 does not charge by pixels. On Sume the quality parameter (low, medium or high, default medium) sets the price, and resolution of 1K or 2K does not change it. So the number to budget with is not one price per image but a blended price for your mix of drafts and finals.

Sume prices every job at the vendor list price × 1.25, then adds a 5.5% fee on that result, so $1.00 of list becomes $1.31875 (how the formula works). The tables below show both the catalog price (list × 1.25) and the all-in figure with the fee.

The three tiers

The fal list prices behind Sume's Ideogram 4.5 row are $0.03 (low), $0.06 (medium) and $0.22 (high) per image, as written in Sume's Image API docs.

Sume prices computed from the list prices in the Sume Image API docs, read 2026-10-06

high$0.22$0.275$0.290125

Three mixes, one blended price

Weight each tier by the share of images you generate at it. The blend is the weighted sum of list prices, then multiplied once.

Reading the result

A draft-heavy mix (70/20/10) averages $0.06875 an image at catalog price: the 10% of high renders add $0.0275 of that, more than the 70% of low renders ($0.02625). The high tier is 7.3x the low tier, so a finals-heavy mix costs about 2.8x the draft-heavy one.

See when a $0.22 high render pays for the quality decision itself.
