Hue shift a video's colors by API for a Candy Pink look

Shift a whole video's hue and saturation with the hue, vibrance and colorize filters on Sume's video filter. One encode job, one new MP4, no preset library.

Send a hue filter to POST /v1/video-filter. A graph such as hue=h=330:s=1.3 rotates every color in the clip and boosts saturation, and the job returns a new MP4. It is a whole-frame shift, not a preset and not a per-object recolor.

Higgsfield's changelog (Aug 21, 2026) lists Color Palette with 50+ color-grading presets, including Candy Pink and Lime Jam. Sume ships no named palettes. What it ships is the filter allowlist in Video filter, read 2026-10-01, so you build the look from parameters.

Which filters change color?

hue rotates hue and scales saturation. vibrance lifts muted colors more than saturated ones. colorize tints toward a single hue. All three are on the allowlist, along with eq, colorbalance and others.

Color filters on the Sume allowlist, read 2026-10-01.
FilterUse it for
hueRotate every color; scale saturation
vibranceBoost muted colors without clipping saturated ones
colorizePush the whole frame toward one hue

What does a request look like?

Import the clip first, then post the graph. Tune h (degrees) and s on a few seconds before running the full clip.

curl -X POST https://api.sume.com/v1/video-filter \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: hue-001" \
  -d '{
    "video_url": "https://media.sume.com/artifacts/artf_demo/clip.mp4",
    "filtergraph": "hue=h=330:s=1.3,vibrance=intensity=0.4"
  }'

Can I recolor only one object?

No. These filters act on the whole frame. To isolate one color range, see keep one color, rest gray; for a grade by eye, see color-correct a video.

What does it cost?

The docs state a flat public rate per encode job and a free check, so trying a value on the check endpoint costs nothing.

Video filter pricing and limits from the Sume docs, read 2026-10-01.
