How many aspect ratios does each Sume image model list? Oct 2026

Nano Banana 2.1 lists 15 aspect ratio values, Imagen 5. A count for every Sume image row, and why the number decides banners, stories and 4:5 posts.

Nano Banana 2.1 lists the most aspect ratio values on Sume, 15 including auto, and Ideogram V3 and 4.5 follow with 15 as well but with a different set. Imagen 4 Fast and Ultra list only five. The count is a rough guide; what matters is which ratios you need, so the table lists the shape of each row.

The counts come from the repository catalog source on 2026-10-08. Google's Oct 6 changelog also names 1:4, 4:1, 1:8 and 8:1 as supported across 1K, 2K and 4K for Nano Banana 2.1, which matches what Sume lists.

How to use the counts

  • A 4:5 Instagram post: skip Grok and both Imagen rows; every other row lists 4:5 except Soul.
  • An ultra-wide banner: Nano Banana 2.1 for 8:1, FLUX.2 or Qwen for 21:9.
  • A phone-tall story: Grok lists 9:20 and 9:19.5; other rows stop at 9:16 or 9:21 where listed.
  • A GPT Image row accepts image_size pixels, which take priority over aspect_ratio.

Two cases worth testing

First, phone-tall art. Grok Image lists 9:19.5 and 9:20, and it is the cheapest of the long-list rows at about $0.025 per image, but it does not list 4:5, so a feed post and a tall story need different rows. Second, banners. A request for 8:1 on Nano Banana 2.1 returns a strip eight times as wide as it is tall; no other row lists it, so for a different row you generate at 21:9 or 2:1 and crop.

If you serve many ratios from one prompt, pick the row that lists all of them rather than switching models per ratio; the look stays consistent. In practice that is Nano Banana 2.1 or an Ideogram row, depending on whether you need banner extremes or 10:16 shapes.

What a longer list does not tell you

A long list is not a quality signal. Ratios are only the shapes a row accepts. It tells you nothing about price, either: the 15-value Ideogram rows range from about $0.0375 to $0.275 per image depending on quality.

Sume does not resize or pad to a ratio the model does not list, so a missing value is a real limit. Read supported_parameters.aspect_ratio from the catalog when you need the live answer.
