Holiday avatar ad roster: 3 presenters x 4 scripts, cost by tier
Three reusable avatars and four holiday scripts make 12 clips. Priced on standard, plus and max with a product image; the avatars cost $2.85.
A holiday avatar campaign is a matrix: a few presenters, a few scripts, and every combination rendered. Three presenters and four scripts give twelve clips. On Sume each presenter is created once for $0.95 and then reused, so the creation cost is fixed while the clip cost scales with length and tier.
This post prices a roster of twelve 20-second clips with a product image, using the API pricing rates read on 2026-10-03.
What does the roster cost?
Creation is 3 x $0.95 = $2.85. Each 20-second clip with a product image is 20 x the per-second rate for its tier, and twelve of them are shown in the table.
| Tier | One 20 s clip | 12 clips | 12 clips + 3 avatars ($2.85) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $3.88 | $46.56 | $49.41 |
| Plus | $5.16 | $61.92 | $64.77 |
| Max | $11.60 | $139.20 | $142.05 |
How do queue limits shape the run?
Twelve clips fit in every paid plan's accepted capacity (24 on Pro, 48 on Startup, 120 on Scale), so one submit is enough. The Free plan accepts 6 jobs at a time (1 running plus 5 queued), so the roster has to go in two rounds of six. Concurrency decides speed, not whether jobs are accepted: Pro runs 4 at once, Startup 8.
The wallet reserves each job's price as it is accepted, so a plus-tier roster holds $61.92 at its peak. If the balance is short, the job that cannot reserve gets 402 insufficient_credits and nothing runs for that job.
How can you trim the bill?
Cut seconds first. A 15-second script instead of 20 reduces every clip by a quarter. Drop the product image on scripts that do not show the product; on plus that saves $0.013 per second. Test one script at all three tiers before committing the full roster to max, since max is more than twice plus per second.
Presenters are the cheap dimension. A fourth avatar costs $0.95, which is under two seconds of a max-tier clip with a product image. If a script needs variety, add a presenter instead of a longer clip.
