HeyGen credits in dollars: Creator and Pro cost almost the same
HeyGen Creator is $29 for 600 credits and Pro is $49 for 1,000: about $0.048 and $0.049 per credit, so Pro buys 4K and models, not a cheaper credit.

HeyGen's two individual paid plans price a credit almost identically: Creator is $29 for 600 credits, $0.0483 each, and Pro is $49 for 1,000, $0.0490 each. Business is $149 plus $20 a seat for 1,500, $0.0993 before seats. Read 2026-10-03 from the HeyGen pricing page.
So going from Creator to Pro does not make credits cheaper. It adds 4K export, customizable usage and advanced AI models according to the page, and the unit price moves by about a tenth of a cent.
The plan grid
The page lists Free at $0 with 3 videos a month and a 1-minute cap, Creator at $29 with 600 credits and 30-minute videos, Pro at $49 with 1,000 credits and 4K, and Business at $149 plus $20 per seat with 1,500 credits and 60-minute videos. Creator adds voice cloning and credit rollovers. API pricing is described as separate and available through the developer portal.
| Plan | Monthly price | Credits | Dollars per credit | Max video length |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creator | $29 | 600 | $0.0483 | 30 minutes |
| Pro | $49 | 1,000 | $0.0490 | 30 minutes |
| Business (before seats) | $149 + $20/seat | 1,500 | $0.0993 | 60 minutes |
Business is twice the unit price
Business costs about 2.1 times as much per credit as Creator before you add a seat. If the $20 applies to one added seat, the base becomes $169 for 1,500 credits, $0.1127 a credit. The page does not say how many seats the base price includes, so treat the second figure as an assumption.
What Business buys is team features: collaboration, 5 custom avatars, SSO and LMS integrations. That is a decision about workflow, not credit price.
What a credit buys
The page I read does not convert credits to minutes of avatar video, and the credit cost per video depends on the model. So a per-minute price cannot be derived from it. Do not multiply the credit price by a guess.
Against Sume's per-second avatar tiers
Sume's avatar video is billed per second at $0.184, $0.245 and $0.550 for Standard, Plus and Max. A 10-second Standard clip is $1.84 and a 30-second one is $5.52. Whether that is more or less than a HeyGen credit pool depends on how many credits HeyGen charges per minute, which the page does not state.
The structural difference: HeyGen's credits expire into rollover rules and are used inside an editor, while Sume has no allowance and charges the wallet only when a job is accepted.
What to check
Run one real clip and read your balance before and after.
- The credits one minute of avatar video consumes, per model.
- The seat rule on Business.
- API pricing, which sits outside this page.
