Grok Imagine Video for 30 seconds: two 15 s jobs, $0.375, silent
Grok Imagine Video 1.5 on Sume is $0.0125 a second, 4 to 15 s, no audio. A 30-second video is two jobs for $0.375. The catch is the missing sound.

Grok Imagine Video 1.5 is the lowest per-second video row in the Sume catalog I read on 2026-10-07: $0.0125 a second, 480p or 720p, 4 to 15 seconds per job, and no audio track. Thirty seconds is therefore two 15-second jobs, not one.
Two jobs at 15 s is 30 s x $0.0125 = $0.375. A Timeline render to join them is $0.10 per output minute, so a joined 30-second file is $0.475 before any sound.
Against the other 30-second routes
Single-pass models take 30 s in one job. Others need stitching. All prices are billable rates already including Sume's margin.
| Route | Jobs | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Grok Imagine 1.5 (480p or 720p) | 2 x 15 s | $0.375 |
| Wan 3.0 480p | 1 x 30 s | $1.875 |
| H3 Max 480p | 2 x 15 s | $1.875 |
| Kling 3 silent | 2 x 15 s | $4.20 |
| Wan 3.0 1080p | 1 x 30 s | $7.50 |
The silent-track problem
Grok has no audio, so a finished ad also needs voice or music. Text to speech is $0.0475 per 1,000 characters and music is $0.125 per track. Add those and the Grok route is still under a dollar for 30 seconds, which is the reason to use it for rough cuts and animatics rather than the final render.
