xAI lists Grok Imagine video at $0.020, $0.050 or $0.080 a second depending on the model, with a 20 MiB image limit. Whether a Grok video model is available on Sume is a question for GET /v1/videos/models; the Sume docs read for this post do not name one. If one is listed, Sume bills the provider list price multiplied by 1.25.

The xAI prices

The xAI models page lists these video and image prices, read on 2026-10-03. The right-hand column is simple arithmetic on those figures with Sume's documented list-times-1.25 rule, so it applies only to a model that is actually in the Sume catalog.

Image models and the size limit

The same page lists image models at $0.02, $0.04 and $0.05 and a maximum image size of 20 MiB. The Sume docs read for this post state no MiB cap for image inputs. They do require public HTTPS image URLs with a matching content type, so size a reference still to the strictest limit among the models you might route to, and keep it well under 20 MiB.

How Sume prices video

Sume reserves on submit at provider list times 1.25 for every model in its video catalog, and usage.cost on the poll response is the Sume billable amount. GET /v1/videos/models returns each model's pricing_skus, resolutions, aspect ratios and supported durations. Read it for the model you want rather than assuming a vendor's model ids.

curl "https://api.sume.com/v1/videos/models" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SUME_API_KEY"

If you let model: "sume/auto" choose, Sume does not disclose which family served the request, so you cannot price a specific vendor from an Auto job. Pin a catalog id when the vendor matters.
