Google Shorts ad lengths 6-60 s vs Sume model limits: jobs per ad
Google lists 6-60 s for Video Reach and 10-60 s for Video Action, App and PMax Shorts ads. How many Sume jobs a 30 s or 60 s ad takes on each video model.

Every Sume video model can render a single clip that meets Google's 6-second Reach minimum and its 10-second Action minimum. No model renders 60 seconds in one job, so a full-length 60-second ad is two jobs on Wan 3.0 or Seedance 2.5, four on Seedance 2.0 and most other models, and six on Omni.
The lengths Google lists
The Google Ads Help page for YouTube Shorts ads gives these ranges by campaign type. Video Reach takes 6 to 60 seconds. Video Action, App and Performance Max take 10 to 60 seconds. Ten to 30 seconds in vertical is recommended for action-oriented ads. The page says Shorts ads can run up to 3 minutes, but recommends under 60 seconds, and only the first 60 seconds display in the Shorts feed.
Model limits and job counts
The duration limits come from the Sume video catalog and the video docs. The job counts assume equal-length clips joined afterward, using the largest length each model allows.
| Model | Length per job | Jobs for 30 s | Jobs for 60 s |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wan 3.0 | 2 to 30 s | 1 | 2 |
| Seedance 2.5 | 4 to 30 s | 1 | 2 |
| Seedance 2.0, Fast, Mini | 4 to 15 s | 2 | 4 |
| Kling 3 | 4 to 15 s | 2 | 4 |
| MiniMax H3, H3 Max | 5 to 15 s | 2 | 4 |
| Grok Imagine Video 1.5 | 4 to 15 s | 2 | 4 |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 | 3 to 10 s | 3 | 6 |
| sume/auto | 3 to 10 s | 3 | 6 |
What the counts mean
- A 6-second Reach ad is one job on every model in the table, since each minimum is 5 seconds or less. MiniMax H3 has the highest minimum, at 5 seconds, and Seedance 2.5, Kling and Grok are at 4.
- A 10-second Action ad is one job on every model, because the largest minimum is 5 seconds and the smallest maximum is 10.
- A 30-second ad is one job only on Wan 3.0 and Seedance 2.5. Two 15-second jobs cover it on the others, and three 10-second jobs on Omni and
sume/auto. - Joining jobs needs Timeline 1.0, which bills $0.10 per started output minute, so a 60-second ad adds $0.10.
Prices for the two cheapest routes at 720p
For Wan 3.0 at 720p, list is $0.10 per second, and the Sume price rounds up to the cent after the 1.25 multiplier. Two 30-second jobs cost $7.50, and with the Timeline join the 60-second ad is $7.60. On Seedance 2.5 at 720p in 9:16, two 30-second jobs cost $34.68, or $34.78 with the join.
Choosing a length
Since Google's page says only the first 60 seconds show in the Shorts feed, a 60-second file is the longest piece you need to pay for in a Shorts ad. Anything longer is only reached from the watch page. Start from the campaign type, pick the range, and then pick the model whose maximum gives the fewest joins. Fewer joins mean fewer cut points to hide, and a single job keeps one continuous take. Check the exact limits with GET /v1/videos/models first, because the catalog changes.
