GivingTuesday matching-gift progress cards: 4 updates for $0.24
Regenerate a matching-gift progress card with exact dollar figures for each update before Tuesday, December 1, 2026. Ideogram 4.5 is $0.06 list per card.

To post a matching-gift progress update, generate a square card that quotes the exact figures, such as "$7,500 of $10,000 raised" and "Every gift doubled until midnight", and regenerate it each time the total moves. With Sume's Image API and ideogram/ideogram-v4.5 at $0.06 list for medium quality, four updates cost $0.24 at list, before Sume's margin.
GivingTuesday 2026 is Tuesday, December 1, the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. A match with a deadline gives followers a reason to share now, and a card that shows the current number makes the deadline concrete.
Why regenerate instead of editing a template?
A text-capable image model draws the numerals into the design, so there is no template file to keep in sync and no manual layout step. The risk is a wrong digit. Quote every figure in the prompt, say that nothing else should be written, and read the output digit by digit against your donation platform before posting.
What does the request look like?
One call per update. Use a new Idempotency-Key per figure, so a retry of the same update is safe and a new total is a new request. A synchronous call returns data[].url; if the wait passes 30 seconds you get a job and read the images from the job result (Jobs and results).

"aspect_ratio": "1:1",
"quality": "medium",

}'When should the cards go out?
Plan four moments rather than a continuous feed. Prices are Ideogram 4.5 list per image by quality, before Sume's margin (Image API docs).
| Moment | Quoted figure | List price |
|---|---|---|
| Match announced | $0 of $10,000 | $0.06 |
| Morning of Dec 1 | $2,500 of $10,000 | $0.06 |
| Afternoon | $7,500 of $10,000 | $0.06 |
| Last hours | $9,000 of $10,000 | $0.06 |
| Total | $0.24 |
What should the card never say?
Do not put a figure on a card that your donation platform has not confirmed, and do not write the match terms into the image beyond what your match donor agreed to. A card is a picture; keep the legal wording in the post text where it can be corrected.
