For an 8-second clip at 720p, Sume's Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 costs $1.00 (list $0.10 a second times 1.25) and Veo 3.1 Fast on the Gemini API costs $0.80. At 4K it is $3.00 against $2.40. The Sume premium is exactly the 25 percent list markup; the models are different, so this is a price comparison only. Read 2026-10-03.

Omni Flash is Sume's default for sume/auto, per the Video Router docs, so its price is the one a default request pays.

The rates side by side

Sume lists Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 at $0.03, $0.10, $0.15 and $0.30 per second for 360p, 720p, 1080p and 4K, and bills list times 1.25. Google lists Veo 3.1 Fast at $0.10 (720p), $0.12 (1080p) and $0.30 (4K) per second, with no 360p tier. Omni Flash runs 3 to 10 seconds per clip on Sume, so an 8-second clip fits.

Where the gap is largest

At 1080p Omni is $1.50 against $0.96 for Veo Fast, a gap of $0.54. At 4K the list rates match, so the gap is only the markup, $0.60. At 720p the list rates also match.

Omni Flash has a 360p tier at $0.0375 a second, which is $0.30 for 8 seconds. Veo has no equivalent, so cheap drafts are only available on the Omni side.

What the markup buys

The extra 25 percent buys access through one wallet and one API, the same job and status endpoints as other Sume routes, and the router's catalog of other models. If you only ever need one Google model and already hold a Google account, calling it directly is cheaper at the list rate.

Limits

Generate one clip from the same prompt on both before you decide the price gap is the real gap.

  • Billed amounts on Sume round up to the cent; the table shows the unrounded product.
  • Omni Flash and Veo 3.1 Fast are different models with different output.
  • Sume lists no Veo model, so there is no Veo price on Sume to compare.
